Chelsea's new man David Luiz has said that he is going to follow Chelsea's captain John Terry foot steps. Luiz made a dramatic move to Stamford Bridge for £21million in the dying moments of the January transfer window.
And the former Benfica star says he is looking to learn from Terry as he tries to force his way into Carlo Ancelotti's first-team plans.
“Football in general admires John Terry, not just me,” explains Luiz. “He is a great player who has won a lot. I hope to learn a lot from him and have the same success he's had in the years he's been here.
“Chelsea has a wide-choice of defenders that all want to be involved. It is good to have choice and it's down to the coach to decide who the best partnership is.”
The versatile Brazillian penned a five-and-a-half year deal with the Blues and insists he is willing to play anywhere across the Chelsea back-line if necessary.
He said: “During my career I have been tried in different positions and I just happy to be on the pitch, regardless of where I am playing.
“I want to learn the philosophy of the club, learn how the club likes to go forward and work with the aim to become a better player.”
