TERRY PRAISES TEAM BRAVERY

Chelsea captain John Terry has praised his team-mates for their bravery, given the way they have made goal-line clearances in the last few matches.

Goal-line clearances have ensured that Chelsea remain in the hunt for the fourth position, which will ensure Champions League qualification for the next season. Given that the opportunity to win the title seems to have vanished after a poor start to the season, Andre Villas-Boas will be hoping that Chelsea can qualify for the Champions League before starting the rebuilding process.

VILLAS BOAS DEFENDS TERRY

In the swirling midsts of another scandal, at least John Terry can count on the support of his manager at Chelsea Football Club. Whilst many in the press (and certainly on the internet) are willing to castigate JT for his use of a racist slur, AVB insists that Terry is not letting it affect him, and believes to the very end that there has been a misunderstanding.

John Terry has always maintained that the words he is captured screaming on videos across the net were taken out of context - it misses off the first bit where he screamed that he would never say those words.

TERRY IS LOOKING FOR NEXT SEASON

John Terry says that winning the Premier League again next season is Chelsea's prime target after Manchester United succeeded them as champions last month. The captain also believes the best is yet to come from Fernando Torres, who managed only a single goal for the club following a £50m move from Liverpool in January.

TERRY COMMENTS ON CHAMPIONS LEAGUE EXIT

John Terry has said that the world is against them when it comes to winning the UEFA Champions League after yet another defeat, according to the Free Bets website.

The Blues went down 1-0 at home to Manchester United in their quarter-final first leg last night after being denied what appeared a stoppage-time penalty at Stamford Bridge. The decision was the latest in a long line of calls to have gone against Chelsea during their - as yet - unsuccessful seven-year quest to win the Champions League since Roman Abramovich bought the club.

TERRY BELIEVES ON TORRES AND LUIZ

Chelsea captain John Terry has said that he is confident that both Fernando Torres and David Luiz will be fitting into the squad very quickly.

Both players arrived on January deadline day, with Torres arriving for a British record £50 million from Liverpool, whilst Luiz arrived from Portuguese giants Benfica for £22m.

Speaking to the club's official website, John Terry spoke of the impact the two players have made to the Chelsea team: "The whole squad needed a little bit of competition and we definitely have that with David Luiz and Fernando [Torres] coming in.

DAVID PRAISED TERRY

Chelsea's new man David Luiz has said that he is going to follow Chelsea's captain John Terry foot steps. Luiz made a dramatic move to Stamford Bridge for £21million in the dying moments of the January transfer window.

And the former Benfica star says he is looking to learn from Terry as he tries to force his way into Carlo Ancelotti's first-team plans.

“Football in general admires John Terry, not just me,” explains Luiz. “He is a great player who has won a lot. I hope to learn a lot from him and have the same success he's had in the years he's been here.

TERRY EXPECTING TOUGH MATCH

Chelsea captain John Terry has said that Everton will be giving a tough match in the fourth round FA Cup match. The Blues booked their place in the fourth round with a 7-0 thrashing of Ipswich earlier this month but the England defender is prepared for a much tougher examination on Merseyside.

Terry told his club's official website: "Everton are in and out of form but against the big sides, especially at home, they do tend to raise their game so it is going to be a big test for us, but we are certainly up for the fight and we won't give up.

NO ACTION AGAINST TERRY

John Terry is set to face no actions as a result of the latest assault claim. West Midlands Police confirmed that officers had decided to take no further action after viewing television footage of the incident during Chelsea's midweek match at Wolverhampton Wanderers.

A police spokeswoman confirmed that a complaint of assault had been made by Wolves steward Patrick Steadman following Chelsea's 1-0 defeat at Molineux on Wednesday.

TERRY LOOKING FOR VICTORY

Chelsea captain John Terry says that he is looking to win at the Emirates against Arsenal. Terry certainly hopes so as he prepares for four league games in 10 days with the trip across London being followed by the visit of Bolton Wanderers to Stamford Bridge on Wednesday.

"It just takes that one thing to set it off, and hopefully a goal away at Arsenal will do that, and we want to get back to keeping clean sheets," John Terry told Chelsea's website.

TERRY BRANDS FORM AS A BAD SPELL

John Terry has said that the club's poor run of form is not a crisis and it is merely an bad run of form. Chelsea’s recent run of form is in stark contrast to their blistering start to the season and Terry admits his side have gone through a slump.

John Terry said: “We’re going through a bad spell.

“But Man United didn’t start too well, Arsenal had a blip and lost at home to teams we wouldn’t expect them to and hopefully this will be the end of our blip.
