Chelsea kept clean sheet against Arsenal and remain two points behind the leaders Liverpool. They were involved in a 0-0 draw with the Arsenal at the Emirates on Monday night. As a result, the top four teams are separated by just two points.

This was an extraordinary defensive performance from Chelsea, as they did not allow Arsenal to create much chances over the course of the match. This performance was necessary for Chelsea given that they have been conceding a lot of goals of late. This has resulted in losses against teams in the lower half of the table like Stoke City.

This clean sheet also means that Chelsea have now conceded just one goal against the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City, and Arsenal. After the match, John Terry said that he is extremely happy with the draw given that it was a difficult encounter. Arsenal could have taken three points late in the match since they had a couple of good opportunities with the chance for Olivier Giroud being the more prominent one. As a result of this dropped points, only four points separate the top five teams. Mourinho has reacted to this title race as the most open he has seen.

Chelsea's next match will be against Swansea. "Home and away we have still got a lot more to give. We're quietly happy with where we are at the moment. We are amongst the pack of four or five teams who are looking good at the moment going into Christmas. In the New Year we hope to put a good run together. It's wide open. It's exciting. If we can put a good run together of five, 10 games it's then down to anyone to pull away," said Terry. This was the first clean sheet for Chelsea in five matches.
