Chelsea legend John Terry wished he had the opportunity to play alongside Thiago Silva before he called time on his illustrious football career. John Terry made this known in his reply to a Thiago Silva post on Instagram shortly after the Brazilian played a phenomenal role in the emphatic London Derby win over hosts Tottenham Hotspur.
Tottenham Hotspur were the better team in the first half until Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel made a substitution at the half-time break. The German brought on French World Cup winner N'GoloKante for the injured Mason Mount and that played a big part in the game ending in favour of Chelsea. Kante doubled the Chelsea advantage before German international Antonio Rudiger wrapped up the big away win for the Blues in the final moments of the game.
The win over Spurs ensured that Tuchel and his Chelsea players took their unbeaten run to seven games at the start of the season though that run has been halted by Premier League champions Manchester City. The Citizens ended that unbeaten run when the two teams met in a league encounter last week Saturday. Brazilian attacker Gabriel Jesus scored the lone Manchester City goal in a 1-0 away win. The defeat to Manchester City preceded the 1-0 loss to hosts Juventus in the Champions League group stage earlier this week thanks to Federico Chiesa.
