Chelsea legend John Terry sent a two-word message to Harry Kane after his sensational performance for Tottenham Hotspur during the recent league game at home to Everton. John Terry was impressed with the performance of Kane whom he called ‘world class'. The ex-Chelsea defender sent his message to Kane through his official Twitter account.
John Terry is back at Chelsea as a consultant, but that didn’t stop him from praising a player from London rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
Kane was the star of the show as he scored twice to lead Tottenham Hotspur to an emphatic victory over Merseyside club Everton in a Premier League encounter played at the new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last week Monday. Kane found the back of the net either side of the half-time break on the way to the 5-0 thrashing of the Frank Lampard-led Everton team.
The first of the two Kane goals came eight minutes from the break off the assist from Irish fullback Matt Doherty. It was the third Tottenham Hotspur goal of the game after Michael Keane (own goal) and Son Heung-Min had found the back of the net. Substitute Sergio Reguilon added a fourth goal for Spurs at the start of the second half before Kane completed his brace and also completed the rout off another Matt Doherty assist.
With his first goal, Kane was able to match Arsenal legend Thierry Henry on 175 goals as the sixth best Premier League goalscorer. He then took sixth position all on his own with his second goal against Everton to end the game on 176 goals. His brace took him to 18 goals in all competitions and ten goals in the league.
Since the Everton game, he has scored two goals in two Premier League matches to move above Frank Lampard as the fifth all-time Premier League goalscorer on 178 goals.
