Chelsea legend John Terry has made a significant career prediction for young Everton winger Anthony Gordon on the back of his impressive display during the Merseyside Derby outing at Liverpool in the Premier League on Sunday. John Terry took to his Instagram story to shower praises on Gordon whom he says give everything for the blue shirt of Everton every week.

John Terry is certain that Gordon will have a big career as he disclosed that the winger is a quality player.

Gordon was undoubtedly one of the best players on the pitch at Anfield despite the fact that he ended the game on the losing side alongside his team thanks to the second half goals from Andy Robertson and substitute DivockOrigi. Origi and Robertson both scored to seal an important win for Liverpool against an Everton team who defended well throughout the game especially in the first half.

Everton fans are delighted that Gordon is a product of their Academy though this doesn't mean that the young forward will stay at the club if they suffer relegation from the Premier League.

Gordon started the Liverpool game on the left-side of the Everton attack and he was soon given a yellow card for simulation when he went down theatrically under the non-existing challenge from Guinean midfielder Naby Keita. The young attacker served as the outlet to relieve the pressure on the Everton defence. He had a very strong penalty case in the second half when centre referee Stuart Atwell failed to point to the spot when he clashed with Cameroon defender Joel Matip in the Liverpool box. Everton will eventually rue the penalty decision not going their way after their hosts scored twice through Scottish defender Andy Robertson and Belgian substitute DivockOrigi to seal a 2-0 win and move within one point of leaders Manchester City in the Premier League.
